This is an original 1950 color print of a short-sleeved under kaftan that belonged to Sultan Mehmet II, the Conqueror in the 15th century. A kaftan is like a cloak that is usually worn over indoor clothing. This kaftan in this print is made of velvet with a pattern of cloud-bands and groups of three dots.
