This is an original 1952 black and white rotogravure set of Nagasaki, Japan. The first image shows the painfully destroyed Japanese homes after the dropping on the second atomic bomb near the end of World War II. However, in the second image (which depicts the quadricentennial parade of St. Xavier in Nagasaki), much of the restoration and reconstruction can be seen. Please be sure to view the additional image.
