This is an original 1955 duotone rotogravure of a temple located along the shore at Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram), Tamil Nadu, India. It dates from about 700 AD and includes the Jalasayana temple and a small shrine to the Hindu deity Shiva. The row of sculptures before the temple represent the sacred bull, Nandi.
