This is an original 1957 color print ad for Smith-Corona Electric from the Smith Premier Typewriter Co. established by the Smith brothers, Lyman, Wilbert, Monroe, Hurlburt. They created the first electronic typewriter to have upper and lowercase letters. The Smith-Corona was created in 1914 and during WWII, Smith-Corona made Springfield rifles and other small arms for the US Army. After the war, they concentrated on making typewriters more efficient for business offices.
This Typewriter had error control exclusive functions such as Half Spacing, Page Gage, and Keyboard Control.
