This is an original 1984 color print of four rails: the American Coot (head only, top right), a common bird of North and Central America; the Horned Coot (head only, upper left), found on the high Andean plateau; the Caribbean Coot (bust, middle right),: and the Giant Coot (bust, bottom) found in high altitudes in Peru, Chile, Bolivia, and northwestern Argentina.
Period Paper is pleased to offer a group of lovely color prints of birds of the family Rallidae. Commonly called rails, they are small-to-medium sized birds which are mostly associated with marshes or wetland habitats.
