This is an original 1854 black and white in-text wood engraving of the Pierce homestead, built in built in 1804 by Benjamin Pierce in Hillsborough, New Hampshire. This historic building was the birthplace of Franklin Pierce, the 14th president of the United States, and is now a museum.
