This is an original 1859 color chromolithograph that depicts two travelers tackling the mountainous regions regions that lie to the north of Israel's Sea of Galilee. Best known for its association with Jesus, the lake (also known as both Kinneret and Lake Tiberas) is the largest freshwater lake in Israel. Please note that there is a blind embossed seal (measuring approx. 2" in diameter) in the upper left corner, which may be difficult to see in the digital image.
