This is an original 1870 hand-colored copper engraving of the fashionable dress of a Parisian gentleman during the reign of Louis XVI of France at the time of the French Revolution, after a work by Philibert-Louis Debucourt.

Period Paper is pleased to offer a rare and well-preserved collection of original hand-colored copper engravings, on heavy paper stock, of the historical costumes and fashions of France from the 5th century to the Second French Empire. The work of Pauquet Frres, these engravings include both historical figures as well as historical regional and national dress.
