This is an original 1870 hand-colored steel engraving of the latest Paris fashions for February 1870. From left to right: evening dress of white crepe trimmed with white ruffles and pink roses; house dress of gold and white striped gauze trimmed with a 10 inch flounce, and a jacket of black spotted net trimmed with black lace; walking dress of claret-colored poplin with a deep flounce and pelerine trimming; walking dress of black silk trimmed with white and black flounces, with small cat sleeves, and a small Tyrollean hat; evening dress of yellow satin with a white tulle overdress trimmed with a quilling of white tulle. The baby in the forefront is wearing a dress of white cashmere trimmed with rose-colored ribbon.

This 143+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++. Light aging throughout. No natural defects. No tears. No water damage. There is a small blemish in the top margin. Please note that the two center creases are original.
