This is an original 1873 halftone print of the new government building to be built on the square bounded by Adams, Jackson, Dearborn, and Clark Streets, known as Bigelow Block, in Chicago, Illinois. Supervising Architect: James C. Rankin with the designs of A. B. Mullet. It was one of the many new buildings to be erected after the disastrous Great Chicago Fire of 1871.

This 138+ year old Item is rated Very Fine. Light foxing and aging. No creases. No natural defects. No tears. No water damage. There are a few light yellow blemishes throughout this print.
