This is an original 1873 black and white in-text wood engraving of a painting by Giovanni Antonio Canal "Canaletto" (1697-1768) that portrays the Jacobean architectural facade of the Northumberland House, (also Suffolk House), townhouse overlooking Charing Cross (Trafalgar Square) in the city of Westminster in London, England during the Victorian era. The house was demolished in 1874 and Northumberland Avenue was constructed in its place.

This 140+ year old Item is rated Very Fine ++. Moderate aging throughout. Light creasing. There is light bleedthrough on this piece from the verso. Some light surface rub. Please note: There is printing on the verso.
