This is an original 1874 black and white double-page wood engraving of a painting by Julius Schrader (1815-1900) entitled, Shakespeare before the Justices" that portrays English playwright William Shakespeare (1564-1616) being brought before Sir Thomas Lucy (1532-1600) for poaching his deerpark at Charlecote near Stratford-on-Avon, Warwickshire, England.
