This is an original 1878 two-page article (1 page, double-sided) with an illustration on a second page, about the improved Hydraulic Elevators, manufactured at the Burdon Iron Works, Brooklyn, Front and Pearl Streets, Brooklyn, New York. The Burdon Iron Works build the following elevators: Galland & Company's improved monitor elevator, the Stebbins improved elevator, the Bevins & Company elevator, and the Baldwin & Burdon elevator. Those represented in this article are the Stebbins elevators, with some improvements patented by Bevins, Baldwin, and Burdon.
