This is an original 1879 one-page print article about the Roper Caloric Engine for Hosting, manufactured by Sherrill Roper Air Engine Company, 91 Washington Street, New York. The engine is represented in Fig. 1, while the large engraving (Fig. 2) shows its mode of application to an elevator, which may be made to move upwards as well as downward from the floor on which the engine stands, so that the latter can as well be placed on the top floor of a buildings as in the cellar below or the vault under the street.

This 132+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine. Moderate aging throughout. Light creasing. No natural defects. No tears. No water damage. Please note there is print on the reverse and some light bleed through visible.
