This is an original 1879 two-page print article about the Yale Lock Manufacturing Company, Stamford, Connecticut with halftone illustrations. Fig 1. shows the form of key which is used with all the Yale Locks. Fig. 2 represents one of the Yale Night-latches, with its cap removed, and indicates the general design and construction of this class of goods. Fig. 3 represents the Pad-lock, the last addition which the company have made to this line of goods. Fig. 4 represents shows a small section of the general construction of these boxes. Figs. 5 and 6 represent the relative advantages of the Weston Block as contrasted with the old-fashioned rope and tackle-block. The illustrations (Figs. 7, 8 and 9) show some forms of these machines, such as are adapted to use over hatchways in stores, mills, etc., in connection with derricks and other similar hoisting devices.
