The Pilatus Railway, also known as the Pilatusbahn, is a Switzerland mountain railway, and the steepest rack railway in the world. The line runs from Alpnachstad, on Lake Lucerne, to a terminus near the summit of Mount Pilatus at an altitude of 6,995 ft.
