This is an original 1890 black and white steel engraving of the Tomb of Absalom located in the Kidron Valley of Jerusalem (read here as the Valley of Jehosophat), Israel. Sometimes known as Absalom's Pillar, this rock-cut tomb is traditionally associated with Absalom the son of King David, but has recently been discovered to be the burial place of Zechariah, father of John the Baptist.
