This is an original 1894 black and white print ad for Vose Pianos. James Whiting Vose was a cabinetmaker before he began making pianos. Vose produced his first piano in 1851; the company was incorporated in 1889. Eventually, the company would be bought by the American Piano Company, who would use the Vose name until about 1982.
