This is an original 1894 black and white relief line-block print of the house of a thousand fears in Rotterdam, Holland. This building got the name House of a Thousand Fears in 1572, when the Spaniards sacked the city, intending to massacre the people. 1,000 people hid in the house, and escaped the massacre.
