This is an original 1896 black and white halftone print of "Entrance to Port of Havana, From Cabanas Fortress. Morro Castle at Right." This late nineteenth century image captures the entrance to the Port of Havana and Morro Castle, a picturesque fortress overlooking the entrance. The Castle was built in 1589 based upon the design of Juan Bautista Antonelli, an Italian engineer.
