This is an original 1899 black and white halftone print of a drawing by Robert Delafontaine which shows us exactly what French Corneille's door looked like in the last home he resided in before his death. Pierre Corneille is considered one of the Big Three in 17th century French playwriting, along with Moliere and Racine. His most notable works include Querelle du Cid, Cinna and Horace.
