This is an original 1902 black and white halftone print of an image of the Mausoleum of Hadrian, also referred to as the Castel (Castle) of St. Angelo in Parco Adriano, Rome, Italy. Originally, this structure was commissioned by Roman Emperor Hadrian as a burial mausoleum for he and his family. The building later served as a fortress and museum.
