This is an original 1903 halftone print of a painting titled, "Judith with the Head of Holofernes." The original artwork was held in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.

This image depicts the Hebrew widow Judith and the captive Bethulia fleeing with the head of Holofernes after beheading him while he was in a drunken state. The coastal invading general Holofernes was the object of great revenge after he forced the Jewish people of the conquered lands to solely worship the god Nebuchadnezzar. Judith rescued Bethulia from Holofernes after Judith entered Holofernes' camp, seduced him and beheaded him. After the beheading, the Hebrews were able to defeat Holofernes' men.
