This is an original 1903 black and white halftone print of "The Falls of Terni." Depicted in this early twentieth century image is the Cascata delle Marmore, or the Marmore Waterfalls, a man-made waterfall formed at the confluence of the Velino and Nera Rivers by the ancient Romans, outside the city of Terni in southern Umbria, Italy. The waterfall is the tallest man-made waterfall in the world.
