1905 Duotone Print Honorable William Taft President Governor Phillippine XGQ2

This is an original 1905 duotone halftone print of the Honorable WIlliam H. Taft. At the time of printing, Taft was Secretary of War (1904-1908) under Roosevelt, allowing him to remain involved in the Philippines, where he served as the first Governor of the Philippines. Taft became the 27th President of the United States in 1909, before later being named the tenth Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, the only person to have served in both offices.
