1906 Ad Shop Crafters Furniture Dining Room Set Models - ORIGINAL CL4

This is an original 1906 black and white print ad for The Shop of the Crafters, specially featuring a dining room set in Church Oak Wood with Dining Chair Model No. 323, Dining Chair Model No. 320 and Extension Table Model No. 322. The company was founded around 1904, by Oscar Onken, who actually began his work as a picture frame builder around 1880. The company's name went through a variety of changes from Onken & Co. to The Oscar Onken Co, and finally Shop of the Crafters, where Onken focused his specialties around furniture. The 1906 furniture catalog featured an assortment of designs by Hungarian Professor of Design, Paul Horti.
