This is an original 1906 halftone print of a piece by Dutch Golden Age painter Gerard ter Borch entitled here as "Paternal Advice" but is also commonly known as "Paternal Admonition." Although his work is relatively rare, it is outstanding nonetheless, with excellent detail to drapery and the consistency of the fabric, as demonstrated in this genre scene.
