This is an original 1908 black and white halftone print of the south doorway of the Franciscan Monastery in Dubrovnik (Ragusa), Croatia. This door was designed in 1499 in the Venetian Gothic style and featurs a Pieta in the lunette above the door. This doorway survived the Great Earthquake of 1667 which destroyed much of the rest of the monastery. Photography by O. Holbach.
