This is an original 1908 black and white halftone print of the city walls of Dubrovnik (Ragusa), Croatia. The Minceta Tower is also pictured in the upper left corner. The walls are 1,940 meters long and encircle the city. The Minceta Tower was constructed by a local builder named Nicifor Ranjina and Italian engineers that Pope Pius II sent to Dubrovnik in 1463.
