This is an original 1908 halftone print of the early Christian cemetery of Manastirine which is near Salona, Croatia. Christians from the cities of Salona and Split buried their martyrs in this cemetery beginning in the 4th century AD. Saint Domnius was buried here and, later, the cathedral in Split was named after him. Photography by O. Holbach.
