This is an original 1908 black and white halftone print of a woman of the Zapotec culture in Mexico. The Zapotecs are a Pre-Colombian civilization that existed in the area of Oaxaca, Mexico. Their culture goes back at least 2,500 years. Monte Alban and Mitla are two important archeological sites that were built by the Zapotecs.
