This is an original 1909 11 page article titled, "Handling Big Guns and High Explosives on Our Battle Ships," by Rear Admiral Robley D. Evans. The article features images of a sectional view of a turret, the battleship the New Hampshire, the battleship Missouri, and other diagrams. The article writes, "If the truth could be proved of the assertion recently made by a reckless naval critic that "never, since the use of powder upon fighting ships, has there been so much danger to the magazines as exists in every battleship and armored cruiser in the American fleet..." There is some bleed through visible on this article. There are four small blemishes in the left margins on the pages of this ad, they are brown and appear to be burns.
