This is an original 1909 black and white halftone print of the Kabukiza theater in the Ginza district of Tokyo, Japan. This building would eventually burn down in 1921 due to an electrical fire and replaced with a more fire resistant building after a setback in the Kanto earthquake of 1923. However, that building was demolished in 2010 with plans to build a new structure by 2015.
