This is an original 1912 black and white halftone print of a historic image of several stagecoaches awaiting weary travelers departing from the Windermere train terminus near Cumbria, England. The railway cottages near the train depot were originally erected in 1849, after designs by architect Augustus Pugin. These cottages were initially utilized by railway executives. Today, the First TransPennine Express runs trains up and down the Windermere line.
