Arthur Ignatius Keller

(1866-1924) Keller received his training at the National Academy of Design and with Loefftz in Munich. He was best known for his finely drawn illustrations of society figures and interiors. His work appeared in many of the popular magazines of his day--Harpers, Scribners, Colliers, and McClures. He also illustrated many booksÀsome of his best illustrations were painted for Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
