This is an original 1914 black and white halftone print of "The Royal Palace, Budapest." This is an image of Buda Castle, formerly known as the Royal Palace, in Budapest, Hungary. The building is a historical castle dating to 1265, and was once the palace of Hungarian kings. Situated on the southern tip of Castle Hill, the building is just to the south of the Castle District, an area of Budapest famous for its Medieval, Baroque, and 19th century architecture. In 1987, the site was declared part of the Budapest World Heritage Sites.
