This is an original 1914 black and white halftone print of "The Castle of Vajda Hunyad." A copy of a castle in Transylvania, Romania, the Vajdahunyad Castle is located in City Park, Budapest, Hungary. The structure was designed by Ignác Alpár and was built between 1896 and 1908. The building is a conglomeration of various architectural styles, including Romantic, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque. At the time this image was captured, the castle housed the Agricultural Museum, a role it still fulfills today.
