This is an original 1916 2-page halftone print set (two single-sided pages, both with unrelated print on the reverse) of civilians and soldiers caught in the hands of their enemies during World War I; the images include French women working under German soldier supervision, German soldiers captured in the French Champagne drive, Russian prisoners cleaning up debris, Russian soldiers hauling their guns into a German camp, and Polish boys acting as music stands for German army instrumentalists.
