This is an original 1917 black and white halftone print of a tapestry depicting Francisco de Goya's "The Picnic." A copy of this tapestry was given to King Leopold of Belgium by Queen Isabella II. The textile in this print was produced at the Royal Tapestry Factory in Madrid, Spain. This factory has been producing tapestries since 1720 when it was founded by King Philip V.
