Nujol. Nujol is a remedy to relieve constipation by the Standard Oil Company. It was created by William Avery Rockefeller, he claimed this herbal remedy would cure all forms of cancer that were not already terminal. He promoted himself as "William Rockefeller, the Celebrated Cancer Specialist." This cure was very expensive, an average of two months net pay for the American and it was only a laxative mixed with petroleum. William Rockefeller spent a lifetime fleeing charges including, rape, swindling and horse stealing. He changed his name to Dr. William Levingston to evade capture. He was the start of the Rockefeller dynasty that is well known today.
