This is an original 1920 halftone print featuring an image of the Fond Du Lac trading post and early settlement.

Pictured in the image is the west branch of Fond Du Lac River at the "Big Bend" south of western Avenue Bridge, and near the point marked by the black cross (x), Augustin Grignon built his trading post in 1801.
