This is an original 1920 World War I sepia rotogravure of a fallen Yank (American military) after General Pershing's insistence on exhaustive marching drills. Another image shows the supply train (or perhaps better described as horse-drawn supply carriage) of the 42nd Division on their way to Rolampont.
