"Morgan" This is an original 1923 color print of a Morgan Horse, named after Justin Morgan, the owner of the foundation sire, Figure. The Morgan Breed has been a very popular breed in the United States and has been used from harness racing to being used by cavalry soldiers in the Civil War. The Morgan Breed has been mixed with numerous other American breeds including the American Quarter Horse, Tennessee Walking Horse, and the Standardbred.
