1923 Rotogravure Track Field Events Hurdles Pole Vault Hammer Throw Tevis Huhn
This is an original 1923 sepia rotogravure with four images of track and field events: H.F.V. Edwards winning the 100 yard dash at the Amateur Athletic Association meet at Stamford Bridge, England; Tevis Huhn of Princeton, NJ defeating F. E. Ford in the 120 yard hurdle race; Gardiner of Yale winning the pole vault in the Relay Carnival at Franklin Field, Philadelphia; and Fred D. Tootell of Bowdoin College breaking the intercollegiate record for the hammer throw at the Penn Carnival.

Rotogravure is a printing method using a rotary press with intaglio cylinders which allows for very high quality halftone reproductions to be printed at high speed on inexpensive paper stock.
