This is an original 1928 black and white halftone print of Propylaea in Athens, Greece (Hellas). The Propylaea's construction was under Pericles' direction. The building is mostly made of marble, but some limestone is used for decoration. The Propylaea served as the entrance to the Athenian acropolis.
