This is an original 1929 black and white print ad for Russwin doorknobs and other hardware for the home by Russell and Erwin Distinctive Hardware of New Britain, Connecticut. This particular ad features an image of the Delmonico Building in New York City, which was designed by architect H. Craig Severance and constructed by G. Richard Davis and Company. The Russwin distributor for this building was Charles F. Coqueron.

(1884-1947) John Knowles Hare was born in Montclair, New Jersey. He was known for his illustrations of pretty young women and he did many of these illustrations for the covers of The Saturday Evening Post and The Country Gentleman magazines.
