This is an original 1929 black and white halftone print of the Greek demon, Typhon, who was known as the father of all monsters. Typhon was so powerful that, according to legend, he tore the sinews from the muscles of Zeus himself. Hermes was able to reattach the sinews to Zeus who later overpowered Typhon and imprisoned the demon creature beneath Mt. Etna.
