This is an original 1929 black and white halftone print of The Tuxtla Statuette, a greenstone figurine of a Shaman with a duck bill and wearing a penguin cloak, discovered in Veracruz, Mexico. It's adorned with glyphs of Isthmian script from the early Mesoamerican writing system.
