1929 Print Ancient Architecture France Le Puy en Velay Haute-Loire Church SCA6

This is an original 1929 black and white halftone print of the Church of St. Michel d'Aiguilhe, located on top of a basalt rock in the French city of Le Puy, or Le Puy en Velay. The Chapel of Saint Michel d'Aiguilhe can be seen precariously perched atop a volcanic rock formation. Two hundred and sixty-eight steps carved into the rock allow pilgrims to reach the chapels entrance. It would suck to be the mailman for that place.
