This is an original 1930 black and white halftone print of Acadian boys collecting eelgrass which is also known as Zostera. It is a type of seagrass that can be used for food or dried and used for insulating homes in the winter. Acadia was a colony of New France in the 17th century which is now Nova Scotia, Canada.
